André Turcotte is a renowned lecturer and is known for his capacity to synthesize and simplify complex issues and for his direct approach towards imparting knowledge. André brings to his position as TEC Chair a rare combination of skills and abilities, helping his TEC members to blend the best in business theory with practical application.
Prior to joining TEC in 2006, André spent 14 years teaching in both bachelor and MBA programs at Laval University, UQAR and UQTR. Together with his teaching responsibilities, he contributed to a wide variety of Canadian and foreign organizations from both the private and public sectors as a business consultant for more than 25 years.
André offers exceptional skill and experience, having led more than 400 projects and having served as Chair and expert on the restructuring committees of over 130 organizations. In addition, he has served as Chairman of the Board for numerous development bodies and has conducted strategic studies across various industry sectors. This includes analysis of the aerospace, mining, ground transportation, maritime transportation, metallurgy, furniture, lumber, rubber, doors and windows, and kitchen cabinet industries. André has also worked with multinational corporations in the pulp and paper, metallurgy, telecom, and industrial gas production sectors.
In his spare time, André is a member of the board of directors of the Quebec Winter Carnival, as well as the Kedl Foundation for Arts and the “Grand Bal Viennois” in Quebec City. He is also an active member of several “wine brotherhoods” (Vin-Art International, l’Amicale des Sommeliers, la Commanderie des Costes du Rhône, les Vignerons de St-Vincent).
