Peter Kibiuk is an experienced Strategic Marketing, Business Development and Operations Executive with a proven track record in strengthening brands and generating profitable sales growth for Start-ups, Small Medium Enterprise (SME) and Fortune 500 companies. He has over 20 years of business operations experience in high technology, wireless and digital media sectors.

Peter has developed Marketing and Sales strategies for Nokia, Northern Telecom Canada Ltd. and Rogers Communications, respectively. At Nokia, Peter developed and executed plans that grew Nokia’s mobile phone market share in Canada from under 10% to over 30%, generating nearly $1billion in revenues and 30+% profit margin during the company’s rise to global communications dominance. He also worked in Western Europe, Asia and in the Silicon Valley developing global brand strategies for Nokia’s mobile devices and broadband networking solutions. He led Nokia Networks Customer Operations group that captured Nokia’s first networking contracts in Canada valued at over $230 million with TELUS. At Northern Telecom, Peter launched and marketed new personal communication devices that yielded $5 million in revenues in the first five months of market introduction.

Peter was selected by the President of Northern Telecom Canada to develop recommendations for the company’s global competitiveness in Asia. He worked in Singapore, Taipei and Hong Kong, developing business intelligence on Asian cultures, business practice, quality circles and technology capabilities. The results were utilized in the company’s Vision 2000 strategy. As Marketing Director at Rogers Communications Wireless, Peter developed brand programs that increased subscriber growth by over 10% and generated $25 million in subscriber revenues for the company’s Midwest market region.

In Vancouver, Peter is currently working with companies focused on eCommerce, mobile marketing and digital media publishing respectively. Most recently he has helped a digital arts consulting firm revitalize its brand, triple its revenue pipeline opportunities and close projects in China with that nation’s leading hospitality developers. He has also provided business guidance to an East Vancouver social enterprise through his association with BC Social Venture Partners. From a creative perspective, Peter has successfully co-produced & marketed a short film, “SEEDS”, that was recognized at international film festivals in Rhode Island, London (UK), Toronto and Montreal. As a Chair with TEC Canada, Peter focuses on his CEO/Business Owner group who through peer-to-peer interaction focus on leadership development and best management practice.

Peter’s interests include arts & film, social media, economics & politics, personal fitness and sailing. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, BCTIA, DigiBC, the Wavefront Commercial Acceleration Community, Bluewater Cruising Association and The Vancouver Club.
