Darren Rabie
Darren Rabie (HBA, Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario) is the Founder and President of Focus America, a company dedicated to helping businesses build sustainable, duplicatable, measurable, visible and high-performing sales organizations.
After his HBA, Darren spent one year at General Mills Canada Inc. as a Marketing Manager and then co-founded The Results Group, an outsourced business development firm which he later sold in 2003 prior to starting Focus America.
Since 1997, Darren also began speaking throughout North America with topics including “How to turn leads into sales”; “How to drive prospects forward” and “How to manufacture a sale”. He has spoken at hundreds of venues and trade shows across Canada and the United States.
Focus believes that, too often, sales teams rely on their existing customer base and ‘waiting for the phone to ring’ as the two primary sources for business. Focus America’s message is simple: ”Sales are generated by the proactive implementation of deliberate activities to a wide variety of existing and potential customers, everyday!”
As the President of Focus, Darren's primary role is that of “chief sales strategist” for clients. As well, he continues to travel throughout North America delivering speeches, workshops and sales/sales management training for both private and public venues.
Personally, Darren was born in Cape Town, South Africa but has lived in Toronto since 1977 (except for a brief stint in Australia in 1996-97). He lives in mid-town Toronto with his wife Colleen, daughters Isabella & Jaiden and Fozzie the dog!
