Franco Lombardo
Franco Lombardo is the Managing Director of Veritage Family Office Limited, a business he co-founded in 2008.
He began his career as a financial advisor in Western Canada, and over 20 years evolved into a trusted consultant assisting clients in dealing with the emotions of money and family. Through personal experience and his extensive work with family businesses, Franco recognized a recurring dynamic: the relationship individuals have with their business, their community, their philanthropic goals and their family and how money and wealth impacts these relationships. This knowledge led Franco to develop a proprietary investigative process, labeled “Life After Wealth™.” This client-focused tool allows the participant to connect the above relationships and define the solutions that best serve themselves, their family, their wealth, and future goals. The emotional accounting of money is just as critical to the well-being of families and their business ventures as robust balance sheets and audited statements.
Veritage’s Authentic Family Wealthcare process provides powerful tools to guide exploration of how values, money and business shape a family’s evolving story. Veritage also provides a meaningful complement to other family office and wealth management services by fostering the essentials of honest communication, mutual trust and shared values that enable families to collaborate effectively. With Veritage as a facilitator and coach, families can create a powerful set of values and behaviours that will be a truly lasting legacy.
Franco is the author of two books: Life after Wealth®: When is Enough, Enough? and Money Motto®: The Path to Authentic Wealth™. He has appeared as a guest on national television shows such as “Money Talks” on BNN and “The Morning Show” on Global Television. He is a passionate and engaging speaker, and has been quoted in and written articles for numerous magazines and newspapers.
