Peter Buchanan
In 1987, Peter launched TEC in eastern Canada when he established the first Toronto TEC group. He has successfully facilitated TEC groups for CEOs and business owners for over twenty years. Peter is the recipient of five TEC Chairman Excellence Awards and is currently the Regional Chairman for the greater Toronto area. Recently, at the TEC-Vistage 50th Anniversary International Conference in San Diego, he was celebrated as being one of 50 people who, over the first 50 years, have made the most significant contributions to the organization. In 2008, Peter was named Canadian TEC Chairman of the year.

In 1984, Peter founded the consulting firm, Management Transitions Ltd. The company specializes in management and leadership development, team development and consulting in the area of organizational culture. Peter is associated with the Hudson Institute, one of the pre-eminent coaching development organizations in the world. He is also associated with the Conversant organization and has been trained to deliver The Communication Catalyst programs designed to enhance value in organizations through the power of authentic conversation. As a result of his commitment to leadership development, Peter has spent more than 20,000 hours coaching and mentoring hundreds of business owners, CEOs, presidents and senior executives.
Earlier in his career, Peter ran a division of Extendicare Canada. Later, as an entrepreneur, he raised venture capital and established a successful business in the security industry, and also owned and operated a store fixture manufacturing business.
Peter is a life long learner. He has an MBA from UWO and received his Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation while working in the areas of marketing and general management for Woods Gordon. He has designed and taught leadership courses for the MBA program at Royal Roads University in Victoria and continues to mentor MBA students as time permits.
