William Liccione
Bill Liccione is the founder and managing partner of Compensation Planning Group, Inc., dedicated to value leadership in the delivery of compensation and performance management consulting services to the middle market.
For more than 20 years, Liccione developed and audited strategically-aligned executive compensation, incentive compensation, salary management, and performance appraisal plans for clients in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. In addition, he has authored more than 15 articles on compensation and performance management in leading professional journals. Prior to founding Compensation Planning Group, Liccione provided compensation consulting services for three international compensation and benefits consulting firms. During that time, he managed Palmer & Cay Consulting Group’s and Alexander & Alexander Consulting Group’s national compensation consulting practices, and directed the St. Louis compensation consulting practice for William M. Mercer.
Liccione received a BA in English from the Rio Grande University, an MA in sociology from Northern Illinois University, an MBA in accounting and finance from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is an adjunct professor in the Maryville University Simon School of Business in St. Louis, and in the Webster University Graduate Management Program in St. Louis.
In addition, Liccione is a member of WorldatWork, St. Louis Compensation and Benefits Network, and the Human Resources Management Association of St. Louis. He has earned the designation, Certified Compensation Professional from WorldatWork.
