TEC Canada Members in Vancouver Plane Crash

The TEC community wishes to express our deep concern for our members and their spouses who were in the small plane that crashed in Vancouver late yesterday afternoon. We extend our sincerest condolences to the family of Pilot Luc Fortin, and give thanks to the passersby who risked their lives to assist at the scene.

TEC Canada is a leadership development organization that works with chief executives to help them enhance their businesses and their lives. The plane was enroute to Kelowna at the time, where members were gathering for a retreat. Annual member-spousal retreats are an important component of our leadership development model, with more than 900 members across Canada attending them annually.

This is the first time we have experienced a situation like this in our 25-plus year history and we hold our members and their families in our thoughts. We are offering support to all members involved. In respecting the privacy of the families involved, we will not provide comments on those who are injured, and simply wish them a speedy and full recovery.
