Becoming a TEC member can be transformational. Our proven program of peer advisory groups, one-to-one executive coaching, expert speakers, and a global network all provide a lasting impact. Not just on your business, but on your life. Your ability to deal with fast-paced change will accelerate. Your decision-making will become more decisive. You’ll be a better leader. But don’t just take our word for it. As someone who has been a TEC member twice over his career, discover the power of peer advisory from Paul Raiche – President at Ceratec Inc and TEC member – below:

The habit of always being in a rush. The act of filling a calendar so full you wonder how you made it through the day. Does that sound familiar?

When your world feels like this day after day, of course, you feel there is no time to join TEC Canada or even take one day a month for yourself in an impactful setting like a TEC meeting. Then, the next thing that may cross your mind is the cost of a TEC membership.

If you have hesitations like these when it comes to joining TEC, I challenge you to ask yourself a few questions:

  1. Don’t you deserve to give yourself a day away from the business to open your mind, learn, and share experiences with like-minded individuals? I’d argue that any answer but “yes” leads to blind spots. You can’t know it all. And many leaders are action-oriented, not pedagogues. YOU SAVE TIME!
  2. How much would it cost to fly somewhere to see a world-class speaker, let alone one every month, in the safe space of your TEC group?

If you’re a business owner like me – I can’t think of a better investment than joining TEC. Originally, I was a TEC member from 2007-2013. Now, I’m back in TEC and happy to be part of an executive peer advisory group in Quebec City led by Louis-Samuel Jacques – especially amid the pandemic and to be at the forefront of my industry in the post-COVID-19 economy.

As a TEC member, I know that I can expect at least one great day every month – and I significantly benefit from the monthly one-on-one coaching sessions with my TEC Chair.

For any fellow CEOs, presidents, and business owners who may be reading this, let me leave you with some advice I wish I knew sooner: Don’t feel guilty – take the time to invest in yourself. Both you and your business will be better for it.
